Where do you stay in London?
The Westbury, The Athenaeum and The Dorchester, to name but three.
Your earliest London memory?
Meeting the team on Lawrence Of Arabia: writer Robert Bolt, director David Lean and Peter O'Toole.
While filming, Peter and I used to drink whisky at night by our tents.
Who is in your address book?
I like Turnbull & Asser on Jermyn Street for clothes.
What have been your most memorable London meals?
Pasta at San Lorenzo, when the owners, Mara and Lorenzo Berni, prepare it.
I love the seafood pasta: taglierini with lobster and prawn sauce, and spaghetti with clams.
What do you miss most when you're out of London?
Good tea. The Earl Grey at The Ritz is always superb. Also watching cricket on TV.
What are your extravagances?
My horses. I own several Flat racehorses.
What is your life philosophy?
To live the present moment as if it would be the last.
What do you listen to on your iPod in London?
I don't have any modern gadgets. I don't know how to use the internet or email. I don't even have a mobile phone.
What charity work are you involved in?
The charity One To One that helps Palestinian and Israeli children.
