Fed: Aussie doctors to lead the way in cancer testing guidelines

CANBERRA, Feb 29 AAP - Family doctors will have access to world-first national guidelines
to identify women at risk of inherited breast cancer and avoid over-testing, the nation's
peak medical body said today.
The National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) launched the guidelines, which
will be distributed to general practitioners across the country.
Senior staff specialist in cancer genetics at Sydney's Westmead Hospital, Dr Judy Kirk,
