Qld: Scorpions allegedly used to torture accused paedophile

BRISBANE, Jan 19 AAP - An Australian man fighting extradition to Cambodia has accused
authorities in the Asian country of bribery and using scorpions to sting his testicles.

Clinton Rex Betterridge, whose case has embarrassed the federal government, has detailed
bizarre allegations of torture in an affidavit filed today in Brisbane Magistrates Court.

Brisbane Magistrate Jim Gordon will decide on Friday whether Betterridge is eligible
for extradition to Cambodia after he fled a year ago from three charges of rape, …
