A Schenectady woman arrested Tuesday was accused of paying to have her former Sand Lake home burned down to collect $24,272 in insurance.
Marie Lehr, 59, of 14 E. Lincoln Heights is the third person charged recently after a two-year arson investigation by the Rensselaer County district attorney's office, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and the county Cause and Origin Arson Investigation Team.
Lehr was charged with one count of third-degree arson, one count of fourth- degree conspiracy and two counts of third-degree insurance fraud in a sealed indictment …
